Welcome to our website!
We are glad that you have found us, and we hope that we will have the opportunity to instruct you and watch you grow in this martial art. We take pride in offering a friendly, convenient, and family oriented atmosphere in which to train, learn, and experience Tae Kwon-Do (TKD) Primm’s TKD began in the Wilson County Schools in Fall 2001. In September 2012 we added a program at Oak Hill School in Nashville. In April 2015 we started a program in East Nashville. Offering TKD on-site or in community locations close to elementary schools allows us to offer reduced prices and to serve many students who might otherwise not be able to train at traditional studios, which are open only in the evenings. We understand how busy today’s families are, and afternoon classes are a wonderful way to fit TKD into these active schedules.
TKD is one of the most respected and recognized martial arts in the world today, an art that is based on discipline, respect, and developing the character of an individual. We strive to serve the many needs and goals of our students, not just the techniques of kicking, blocking and punching.
Sahyun Nim Frank Primm is the Head Instructor and co-owner of our program. He is a certified 8th Degree Black Belt and a member of both the International Tae Kwon-Do Federation (ITF) and the OriginalTae Kwon-Do Federation of America (OTFA). He has over 40 years of teaching experience with both adults and children, including 11 years of studio ownership in Lebanon, TN. He is fortunate to have learned from an instructor who learned directly from the founder of Tae Kwon-Do, General Choi Hong Hi. His skills as an instructor have been recognized over the years by various martial arts leaders and organizations. He has taught at Castle Heights Military Academy and Cumberland University. Additionally, he had the honor of representing Tennessee in state championships and holds a gold medal for both sparring and forms in the middleweight division.
Lisa Primm is the co-owner and business manager of our program, and has been married to Mr. Primm since March of 2000. She holds a master’s degree in social work and a bachelor’s degree in psychology. Lisa is also a full-time director of a legal advocacy agency for people with disabilities. Lisa is not a martial artist, but enjoys working with the students, families, teachers, and all those involved in meeting the needs of our members. Frank and Lisa have 3 children, Taylor Wilson-Primm, Tanner Primm, and Del Primm.
